Full job description
A fast-growing group of companies operating in the Fleet Management and Hotel and Leisure industries is seeking to employ an IT Intern to provide first-line support and basic desktop user including hardware and software.
The job will entail:
- Installing, maintaining, upgrading, and continuously improving Afrirent’s operating environment.
- Monitoring and maintaining the ongoing reliability, performance, and support of the server infrastructure in order to maintain uptime.
- Administering all IT systems (Ticket system, call centre system, reports server, time & attendance / biometric system, and asset register)
- Assisting users to ensure continuous and uninterrupted user uptime.
- Managing user accounts, setting up / deactivating users, creating access roles and, compiling related reports for record-keeping.
- Following up with employees to ensure that problems have been resolved and are not recurring.
- Conducting end-user training on the relevant systems.
- Monitoring end-user satisfaction feedback.
Requirements:
- National Diploma (NQF level 6) in Information Technology / Computer Science.
- A+ / N+ Certification.
- 1-year experience in an IT user-support role providing remote, telephonic, and onsite support.
- Experience in Microsoft desktop operating systems.
- Basic problem-solving skills in internet-based technologies.
- Strong hardware experience (Desktops, laptops, printers)
