Late applications may be disqualified, regardless of their quality or merit. In some cases, late applications may still be accepted but with penalties or restrictions. For example, a late submission for a grant or funding opportunity may result in a reduced award amount or a lower priority for consideration. Similarly, late payments or invoices in the finance department may incur late fees, interest charges, or penalties, affecting the financial standing of the individual or organization.
